LNG Terminal Expansion Program


 

The company is currently executing the LNG Terminal Expansion Program, which consists of four elements:

  • Additional regasification installation – increasing the nominal regasification capacity of the terminal to 7.5 billion Nm3/year.
  • Third LNG process storage tank – increasing the operational flexibility of the LNG terminal installation and ensuring the optimum natural gas process storage capacity.
  • LNG-to-Rail transhipment installation – extending the range of services provided with the possibility of natural gas transhipment onto ISO containers and rail tankers and thus reaching new prospective customers.
  • The second jetty - for loading and unloading of LNG carriers, LNG transhipment and handling LNG bunker vessels and providing bunkering services.

Timetable of news:

2019:

  • 24 I - Polskie LNG has obtained a set of environmental and location decisions for all projects implemented under the LNG Terminal Expansion Program. The environmental permits are final, while the decisions issued by the Governor of West Pomerania are immediately enforceable (which stems directly from the provisions of the Special Act on the LNG Terminal).
  • 2 I – launching of the second tender procedure concerning offshore part of LNG Terminal Expansion Program - the construction of an additional jetty.

2018  

  • 19 XII – lounching of the first tender procedure concerning onshore part of LNG Terminal Expansion Program:
    • Additional regasification installation
    • Third LNG process storage tank
    • LNG-to-Rail transhipment installation
  • 21 VI - the West Pomeranian Voivode issued the building permit for the investment consisting in the expansion of the re-gasification capacity of the LNG terminal in Świnoujście to Polskie LNG. 
  • 11 -12 IV - The meetings in the form of the technical dialogue relating to the project covering extension of  President Lech Kaczyński LNG Terminal were held in Świnoujście.
