Integrated Management System
The outset of a systemic approach to quality in Polskie LNG SA dates back to the year 2009, when the company underwent quality certification procedure for the first time and consequently was certified for a period of three years starting on 18. Dec. 2009. On account of great importance attached to environmental issues and particular emphasis put on natural environment protection during the construction of the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście (within the Natura 2000 protected area), the quality criterion was extended to include environmental issues pursuant to the requirements of ISO 14001 standard which ultimately led to awarding Polskie LNG with the Integrated Quality and Environmental Management System certificate in 2011.
On December 18, 2012, the "Integrated Quality and Environmental Management System" was successfully recertified, which process - due to the change of the certifying body - met the criteria of certification.
The process of implementation in late 2013 and early 2014 was completed in May 2014, when Polskie LNG was granted a certificate in the field of occupational health and safety pursuant to OHSAS 18001 standard. As part of certification proceedings, the aspects of occupational health and safety were incorporated into the quality and environmental management systems.
The ISO and OHSAS "Integrated Management System" certificate confirms that international standards have been implemented and maintained for 6 years in the company’s quality management, and thus the construction of the LNG Terminal - a key project for national energy security - is carried out in compliance with the best available quality standards, in harmony with surrounding environment and pursuant to relevant regulatory requirements in environmental protection and with due consideration of occupational health and safety standards.
Polskie LNG Company won a major award in the Quality International competition twice, i.e. in 2011 and 2014. The applications submitted by the company in the Quality International competition were highly regarded by Program Committee and subsequently awarded with a title of the QI Order winner in the Management System category.
This award serves as evidence for all PLNG’s stakeholders that quality and safety are recognized as priorities in implementation of one of the largest infrastructure projects in Poland.
From 18 to 20 November 2015, Polskie LNG company successfully underwent the recertification audit; consequently, the scope of certificate has been retained unchanged. The Certificate is valid until 17 December 2018.
