Report on the environmental impact assessment of the venture

The Report (assessment) on the environmental impact of the venture is comprised of a technical and nature description. It enables to assess the project implementation in a manner ensuring it to be safe for the natural environment and not to pose any threat to nature. It contains information pursuant to Article 52 of the Environmental Protection Act of 2001.

The prepared report constitutes an attachment to the application for the issue of the environmental decision. Depending on the type of investment, it can be a compulsory document (for ventures falling within Group 1 projects) or optional document (for venture classified as Group 2 projects).

The “The LNG re-gasification terminal in Świnoujście” venture has been classified as a Group 2 project. The rules for classifying the venture for these two project groups have been outlined in the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 9 November 2004.

On 17 December 2008, the complete Report on the environmental impact of the venture was submitted by Polskie LNG sp. z o.o. to the Regional Management of Environmental Protection in Szczecin and to the Mayor of Świnoujście.
