On 12 February 2009 Polskie LNG Co. received a Decision on the Environmental Requirements for Project Implementation for the marine part of the LNG Terminal, issued by the Regional Director for the Environmental Protection in Szczecin.

On 4 March 2009 Polskie LNG Co. received a Decision on the Environmental Requirements for Project Implementation for the onshore part of the LNG Terminal issued by the Świnoujście City Mayor.

On 15 July 2009 Polskie LNG Co. received a construction permit for LNG Terminal, issued by the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The permit was validated on 4 August 2009.

On 20 August 2009 a multilateral cooperation agreement was signed by and between Polskie LNG, Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A., the Maritime Office in Szczecin and Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority. This agreement sets the terms of cooperation between the signatories, in particular the material scope and schedules of individual projects constituting the construction of the LNG Terminal venture.

On 18 March 2010 an agreement was signed by and between Polskie LNG and PGNiG on providing regasification services and additional services by LNG Terminal.

On 10 June 2012 in Świnoujście an investment supervisory contract over the LNG Terminal construction was signed with WS Atkins Sp. z o.o. (Poland) – Atkins Ltd (the United Kingdom).

On 15 July 2010 a contract for Construction of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal in Świnoujście was signed between Polskie LNG S. A. (the Investor) and the Consortium of Saipem S.p.A (Italy) – Saipem S.A. (France) - Techint Compagnia Technica Internazionale S.p.A. (Italy) – Snamprogetti Canada Inc. (Canada) – PBG SA (Poland) – PBG Export Sp. z o.o. (Poland).

On 23 March 2011 a ceremony of laying the cornerstone of  the LNG Terminal was held in Świnoujście.

On 10 October 2011 in Warsaw a contract worth PLN 456 m. was signed between Polskie LNG Co. and the Oil and Gas Institute for co-financing the LNG terminal construction from Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme.

On 30 November 2011 construction of concrete walls of the second LNG tank in Świnoujście Terminal was completed.
